About CPCS Lynnwood
Q: Do you offer extracurricular activities outside of regular classes?
A: Within the school week and taught by specialists, students receive enrichment classes such as Computers, Library, PE, and Music. Students can also voluntarily sign up for Beginning or Advanced Band. After school activities are served on a first come, first serve.
Q: How early can students be dropped off on campus?
A: Students are not to be dropped off at school prior to 8:15am, as we do not have anyone on duty until 8:15am. If they are dropped off before then, we will send them to Extended Care where you will be charged on your tuition bill.
Q: Is there childcare available for "no school" days?
A: We have an Extended Care program which you need to sign up for, prior to using. It is charged by the hour and does have a materials fee if used frequently. Extended Care can be used for before and after school care, as well as on "no school" days. Please see the office for the registration form and the current fees.
Q: Is there a dress code or are uniforms required?
A: We currently do not require uniforms, however, there is a dress code that everyone should adhere to. Please see the handbook for details on the dress code. Any student not in dress code will be cited with a green slip and in some cases, required to call home for a change in clothing.
Q: What if my child needs to take medication during the school day?
A: The State of Washington requires parental signature in order to dispense ANY and ALL forms of medication, including but not limited to cough drops, ibuprofen, allergy medication, inhalers, and epi-pens. If you have a student that requires medication, we have to have a completed and signed “Authorization for Administration of Oral Medication” form on file here in the office along with the medication in the original container.
- Over-the-counter drugs require a parental signature
- Prescription Medication requires parental signature AND a doctor’s signature
